Rain Rain Go Away...

But if you have to stay, then here are a few of my favourite wintery waterproofs to help us ride out the storm.

I love the length of this waxed jacket and the slight quilted detail over the shoulders. From past experience I can tell you that these wax jackets are amazing value for money and last a lifetime!

You all know I adore Joules and their classic Coast Waterproof Jacket is fantastic. Go for a jolly yellow or red, or if you're like me and something a little less jazzy is more your vibe, then the French navy (below) is perfect. There's plenty of room to layer with big cosy jumpers and when the weather warms up it will be fab with a simple striped Breton top!

I have loved seeing the Barbour x Alexa Chung collaboration over the past year or so, but never felt there was a jacket that was quite me, they have all been very cool... something which I am not! But this waxed pull over smock looks so practical and classic. it's a little pricey but a definite investment piece.

Alex has the mens version of this waterproof and I'm always so jealous when he's wrapped up for a dog walk with the cosy high neck. It's simple, not at all fussy and does what it says on the tin.

I absolutely LOVE the colour of this waterproof jacket from Fat Face. Again, this is one I can imagine layering with a cosy roll neck jumper and jeans to battle the elements. It's a nice mix of classic style, but a modern twist on the colour. I imagine this jacket would go with so many other item in my wardrobe.

Hope you've had a cosy Sunday hiding from Storm Ciara!
